Incognito Art Show
I recently donated three A5 oil paintings to the first Incognito Art Show run by Studio A in Sydney. Studio A is NSW’s only supported studio for professional artists with intellectual disability. The show was organised to raise funds to help support these artists.
The works exhibited in Incognito were original postcard sized artworks. All Studio A artists donated artworks as well as over a thousand amateur, emerging and professional artists including Laura Jones, Nicholas Harding, Del Kathryn Barton, Joan Ross, Abdul Abdullah, Clara Adolphs, Jason Phu, Zoe Young, Jasper Knight, Paul Davies, Phil James, Tsering Hannaford, Abdul-Rahman Abdullah, Ben Quilty, Shireen Taweel, Omar Musa, Miranda Skoczek and Julian Meagher.
The identity of each artist remained anonymous when the artwork was exhibited. Once purchased the artist’s identity was revealed on the reverse side of the work.
All profits raised were donated to Studio A. It was an awesome initiative to be a part of and it sold out completely during th one day opening.
